CAMERA — A May 12 article in the Fairfax County Times about incidents of antisemitism in Fairfax County, Virginia, schools quoted K-12 Program Director Rebecca Schgallis. “Antisemitism reflects a broader ideological problem rather than a series of isolated incidents,” said Schgallis, and Fairfax County “continues to struggle to consistently implement guidance on antisemitism…resulting in uneven recognition of and responses to incidents across schools.”
In their 1848 Communist Manifesto, Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels famously stated communists seek to “rescue education from the influence of the ruling class” by changing the type of social intervention that informs instruction — later to be known as “re-education.”
