Jewish Book Council – A first-person account by a Jewish American book author of the cancellation of a children’s literature panel at the recent NCTE conference in Boston. The planned session in which she was to be a panelist was meant to highlight role of literature in promoting unity. Instead, it was cancelled because of disunity, when Jewish participants did not share the Arab panelists’ desire to politicize the session with a discussion of the war in Gaza and the “ongoing genocide” perpetrated by Israel.
