The Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) campaign is a global campaign to delegitimize and destroy the Jewish state under the misleading banner of human rights. It targets Jewish students and those who support Israel. CAMERA exposes and opposes the antisemitic BDS campaigns that are increasingly promoted on campus, too often with the endorsement of faculty.

  • BDS Lies: Exposing 45 False Claims in the Brown University Divestment Proposal

    CAMERA – To correct the record, CAMERA joined with several Brown University alumni to put together a submission in opposition to divestment. The submission, delivered on August 30, identifies a total of 45 false claims made in BDC’s proposal, debunking each in turn.

  • Anti-Israel Crybullies and the Free Speech Inversion

    Algemeiner –As defined at Dictionary.com, a crybully is “a person who self-righteously harasses or intimidates others while playing the victim, especially of a perceived social injustice.” It’s a particularly accurate label for the crowd of anti-Israel activists who have spent decades working to silence and intimidate Jewish and Israeli voices on campuses while also portraying themselves as victims of an attack on their free speech.

  • Suit Threatened as Anthropologists’ Israel Boycott Vote Begins

    Inside Higher Education – Just as American Anthropological Association members have started voting on a resolution “to boycott Israeli academic institutions,” a law firm has threatened to sue. Lori Lowenthal Marcus, legal director for the Deborah Project,  wrote to the association’s executive director, saying the firm has clients who are part of the association and are “deeply concerned about the association’s proposed resolution endorsing Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) against Israel.”

    South Florida Sun Sentinel – The University of Michigan is again under fire for anti-Israel sentiment as a pro-BDS instructor rejected a Jewish student’s request for a letter of recommendation to study in Israel for a semester, just a few months after an associate professor refused to do the same for student Abigail Ingber.

    CAMERA – Harvard University’s Outreach Center for Boston teachers serves as the link between the university’s Center for Middle Eastern Studies and surrounding middle and secondary schools. Its workshops, seminars and conferences promote BDS against Israel.
