Some faculty members have themselves been the victims of antisemitism and discrimination while others have supported anti-Jewish bias. The responses by university administrators have also varied considerably. CAMERA monitors instances of antisemitism and anti-Zionist attacks on campus and provides informational and strategic support to students, faculty members and administrators.

    NY Post – Russell Rickford, an associate professor of history, went viral for the incendiary remarks to students during a pro-Palestinian protest soon after the Oct. 7 surprise attack on Israel killed 1,400 people, mostly civilians. He is now on a leave of absence until at least the end of the semester.

    Inside Higher Ed – Two highly rated Jewish professors say they received some uncommonly negative reviews calling them racist following their request to  the president of their college, CUNY’s Borough of Manhattan Community College,  and to others in charge of social justice and equity there, requesting to “sponsor a program on Jewish indigeneity and Zionism.”
