The responses by university administrators have also varied considerably. CAMERA monitors instances of antisemitism and anti-Zionist attacks on campus and provides informational and strategic support to students, faculty members and administrators.

    Algemeiner – The US Department of Education Office for Civil Rights (OCR) is investigating State University of New York (SUNY) New Paltz to determine whether it refused to intervene when Jewish students were expelled from a campus group for being Zionists, according to lawyers representing the students.

    Inside Higher Ed – Two highly rated Jewish professors say they received some uncommonly negative reviews calling them racist following their request to  the president of their college, CUNY’s Borough of Manhattan Community College,  and to others in charge of social justice and equity there, requesting to “sponsor a program on Jewish indigeneity and Zionism.”

    New York Post – George Washington University is standing by its diversity professor after a complaint to the US Department of Education’s Office of Civil Rights alleged that she created a psychologically traumatizing class environment, which students said caused them to cry and go on antidepressants.

  • University Administrators Demonize Jews in the Name of Social Justice

    CAMERA- At Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC), “social justice and equity” mean denying Jewish indigeneity and self-determination and whitewashing violence against Jews. At least that’s the takeaway from a “visual timeline of occupied Palestinian land” BMCC’s “Social Justice and Equity Centers” (SJEC) are displaying on campus.
